The Rough Country XJ 4.5 lift kit is one of the most sought after beginner lift kits in the XJ suspension market. Best bang for the buck in my opinion, the kit comes standard with the 10 stage N3 shocks but if you want to upgrade, you can't go wrong with the V2 shock option. In the front you'll have your coil springs, transfer case drop kit, lower control arms , sway links, and on the rear you will have add a leafs to give required lift height. Best of all it's bolt on and all rough country kits come with a detailed manual to leave the guesswork out.

We often get frequent questions regarding this lift so I figured I'll post them here

Does the lift level my XJ ?
The kit is designed to level the front with the rear BUT if your leaves are shot there's nothing you can do about not having the desired height. If you are stuck in this position it's best to order the kit with leaf springs HERE

Do I need a driveshaft and SYE ?
The kit comes with a transfer case drop kit to bypass that option. But it's never a bad option !

How long does it take to install ?
Rough Country claims 5-6 hrs if vehicle is in fair condition , I've stretched it out 8-10 when XJ's are in terrible rusty conditions. If yours is rusty I HIGHLY recommend you change everything from steering to upper control arms to avoid issues along the way.
